May 2021 Reading List
Happy May everybody!
This month will be the busiest ever, but I’m still super excited about my book choices. April was a very productive month, mainly because I managed to read 3 books: “De Profundis” (Oscar Wilde); “One of Us is Lying” (Karen M. McManus), and “The Ulysses Tour”. There will be reviews for each of them very soon 🙂
Right now, I’m reading “Fight Club” and loving it so far!
Well, without further due, let’s get into it 🙂

this is the recipe of life
said my mother
as she held me in her arms as i wept
think of those flowers you plant
in the garden each year
they will teach you
that people too
must wilt
fall
root
rise
in order to bloom
Yay! Finally a poetry book! It’s been ages since I last read a poetry book, and I’m so excited to go back to it. I read amazing reviews about this one, as well as “Milk and Honey”, also written by Rupi Kaur.
My parents gave it to me as a birthday gift, and I immediately knew I would read it in May. It’s the perfect month, there are flowers everywhere, sun, Spring, birds…love it! <3
I have high hopes for this one, so wish me luck! Have you read something from Rupi Kaur yet?

The Merchant of Venice // William Shakespeare
Goodreads Synopsis: In this lively comedy of love and money in sixteenth-century Venice, Bassanio wants to impress the wealthy heiress Portia but lacks the necessary funds. He turns to his merchant friend, Antonio, who is forced to borrow from Shylock, a Jewish moneylender. When Antonio’s business falters, repayment becomes impossible–and by the terms of the loan agreement, Shylock is able to demand a pound of Antonio’s flesh. Portia cleverly intervenes, and all ends well (except of course for Shylock).
Genre: Classics; Play; Fiction
Goodreads Rating: 3,80
This will be my second Shakespeare play! My first was Romeo and Juliet, and I confess that I wasn’t into it. I still want to reread it though, I feel like I’ll know how to appreciate it better now.
