Hi everybody!!

July arrived! Yay! This means it’s time for me to think about this month’s reading list and tell you all about my June readings.

June was a really good month. Even though none of the books I read were 5 stars, most of them were certainly 4 stars. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to read all the books I planned for my June TBR due to the exams.

This month I’ll be (almost) free from tests so I’m expecting to reach my reading goals.

Without further do, let’s dive into my TBR and June Wrap Up! 🙂

Enjoy <3

Now with the group narrowed down to the six Elite, the competition to win Prince Maxon’s heart is fiercer than ever—and America is still struggling to decide where her heart truly lies. Is it with Maxon, who could make her life a fairy tale? Or with her first love, Aspen?

America is desperate for more time. But the rest of the Elite know exactly what they want—and America’s chance to choose is about to slip away.

Goodreads Rating: 4.02

It has been such an amazing experince re-reading this series! After finishing “The Selection”, I couldn’t wait to start the second book.

When I first read the saga I remember that “The Elite” was the one I enjoyed the most. I’m curious to know what my opinions will be 4 years later. Have you read The Selection series already?

“Wuthering Heights”

Wuthering Heights, Emily Bronte
“Wuthering Heights”, Emily Brontë

Synopsis: Caught in a snowstorm, Lockwood, the new tenant of Thrushcross Grange on the bleak Yorkshire moors, is forced to seek shelter at Wuthering Heights. There he discovers the history of the tempestuous events that took place years before: the intense passion between the founding Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw, her betrayal of him and the bitter vengeance he now wreaks on the innocent heirs of the past. Emily Brontë’s novel of impossible desires, violence and transgression is a masterpiece of intense, unsettling power.

Goodreads Rating: 3.86

I always try to read a classic every month. I’m still reading “Hard Times” (Charles Dickens), but once I finish it I’ll start this one.

I’m really excited! This will be my first Emily Brontë’s novel, and my expectations couldn’t be higher. Do you enjoy her work? If so, which book is your favorite?

Goodreads Rating: 3.86

I started reading this book last year, but then exams arrived and I completely forgot about it. I remember that I was enjoying it so I thought this would be a great time to start reading it again.

I never read anything from Dan Brown, I just watched the movies. I loved all of them, especially “Angels and Demons”, so I’m hoping to love his writing as much.

“Fractured” (Slated #2)

Fractured, Teri Terry
“Fractured”, Teri Terry

Goodreads Synopsis: Kyla shouldn’t be able to remember anything. But she can – and she’s beginning to realize that there are a lot of dark secrets locked away in her memories. When a mysterious man from her past comes back into her life, she thinks she’s on her way to finding the truth. But the more she learns about her history, the more confusing her future becomes.

Goodreads Rating: 4.15

This book was the only one from my June TBR I didn’t even start. I read the first book of the series a long time ago but I think I still remember most of the storyline. I would hate to re-read the first one beacuse that would delay all my readings.

Anyway, I’m really excited to start reading “Fractured” so I can purchase the final book!

Do you know about this trilogy?

July TBR – Books Without English Translation

(Feel free to jump to the June Wrap Up)

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the English translation for these 2 books. I’m really excited to read them so I decided to include them on the list.

“Mulheres Que Compram Flores

“Mulheres Que Compram Flores”, Vanessa Montfort

This book is now a huge success in Spain and Portugal, so I’m hoping it will be translated into English very soon.

If there’s any development about it, I’ll talk about it on my Instagram profile.

{PT}

(more…)

“A Vida é um Tango e Outras Histórias”

"A Vida é um Tango e Outras Histórias", Cristina Norton
“A Vida é um Tango e Outras Histórias”, Cristina Norton

This book is a selection of short stories, some of them based on the author’s life, others based on what she observes.

I’m fond of this type of books, so I’m expecting to spend a really good time reading Cristina Norton’s book.

{PT}
