March 2021 Reading List

Happy March everybody!

This month will definitely be quite busy for me, since my university break will be over soon. Either ways, I set for myself the goal to read at least 3 books in the next 4 weeks, and I can’t wait to share them with you. 🙂

Let’s get into it!

A few friends of mine have read this book already, and I have received mixed reviews. Some of them loved it, others found it too predictable and clichĂ©, so I’m kinda reticent about it.

Either way, I’m really excited about this one and I can’t wait to share my review with you.

Goodreads Rating: 4.19

Last year I decided to re-read “The Selection” series, so here I am ready to read for the second time ” The One”.

From what I remember, this was my favorite book from the whole series, so I’m really excited about it. I don’t usually do re-readings, but this time I felt the necessity to do so since “The Selection” will finally have a Netflix movie adaptation.

Can’t wait!!!

De Profundis // Oscar Wilde

De Profundis // Oscar Wilde

Goodreads Synopsis: De Profundis (Latin: “from the depths”) is a 50,000 word letter written by Oscar Wilde during his imprisonment in Reading Gaol, to Lord Alfred Douglas, his lover. Wilde wrote the letter between January and March 1897; he was not allowed to send it, but took it with him upon release. In it he repudiates Lord Alfred for what Wilde finally sees as his arrogance and vanity; he had not forgotten Douglas’s remark, when he was ill, “When you are not on your pedestal you are not interesting.” He also felt redemption and fulfillment in his ordeal, realizing that his hardship had filled the soul with the fruit of experience, however bitter it tasted at the time.

Genre: Classic; Non Fiction

Goodreads Rating: 4.19

This one was recommended to me by my mother. She read it a few years ago, and loved it. Oscar Wilde is definitely one of my favorite authors, so I’m pretty sure I’m going to love this letter.

Do you enjoy reading classics? Which one do you like the most?

That’s it!

And….there you go! My March reading list is complete. I usually choose 5 books per month, but with all the university work I’ll have to deal with this month, it seemed more realistic to settle for only 3 books. :/

Which books are on your March TBR? Let me know in the comment section down below 🙂

Stay safe,
