Bunny Products You’ll Need Every Month

Hey there!

Today I’ll be showing you what I bought for my bunny in May, which is pretty much the same every month.

So…

On March 2nd I adopted Artic, my bunny. At that time, I thought bunnies were low maintenance pets…I couldn’t be more wrong.

Bunnies are a lot of work, they need loads of attention and care, and they are also quite expensive when it comes to their basic products. However, the love they give you in return is priceless <3

I order all my bunny supplies from Amazon or Miscota. They have high-quality products at affordable prices, in comparison to other sites.

Let’s dive in the list! Enjoy!

Cost: 12.78$ (1.75KG)

Artic is 4 months old, which means he’s still a baby. Baby bunnies should eat alfalfa pellets until they are 8 months old. After this age, it’s recommended to feed them timothy pellets.

I remember searching tons of product brands that would offer alfalfa pellets and it was almost impossible to find one at a decent price with good quality.

Finally, I found Versele-Laga Complete Cuni Junior pellets and Artic loves them!

Remember that pellets must make up less of a rabbit’s diet as they grow older. Versele-Laga especially recommends to only feed our bunny 30 to 50 grams per day.

Cost: 7.22$ (10L)

It’s really important to choose the right bedding for your bunny. A good litter should neutralize the odor, be comfortable for your pet, and present no risk for your rabbit’s health.

I highly recommend pellets. Normally you can find paper or wood pellets.

I’ve been switching between the two to find the one Artic preferes the most.

Wood pellets are pretty good at odor elimination, but I think Artic finds them quite unconfortable.

So this month I decided to buy paper pellets again. They’re cheaper and, best of all, recycled! My bunny seemed to like them better but I was concerned about the odor. Fortunately, they eliminate the odor quite well, which was a relief 🙂

I couldn’t find the same exact packaging at Amazon. But I found these paper pellets from Vitakraft, which appear to be quite similar: https://amzn.to/2WWEqkw

Cost: 4.27$ (500gr)

Hay is the most important part of a rabbit’s daily intake, so it’s very important you choose a good one.

Mature adult rabbits should be fed unlimited timothy hay, grass hay, or oat hay. A good quality hay should be green with long filaments, like the one you see in the pictures above.

Artic loves them!

Nail Clipper

Spuck – Nail Clipper

Cost: 4.16$

So, this will be the first time I’m going to cut Artic’s nails….I’m so nervous!

You can find different nail clipper’s formates and shapes on the market, but I believe these are the most common ones.

I haven’t tried it yet, but I hope it works well. Wish me luck on this one 😉

Note: If you have some advice on cutting bunny’s nails, feel free to comment. I really need help XD

Living World – Comb

Shedding season arrived!!!!

Artic is losing lots of fur these past couple weeks…it’s crazy! All I can see is white fur everywhere…

It’s also really important to comb your bunny so they won’t form hairballs in their stomach, which can be fatal.

Artic almost made it impossible, but I managed to groom him. The comb works quite well 😉
